Winter Style Challenge – Day Six // Decade or Region

Well we have passed the summit! This is the last week of style challenges and honestly, this week is a little bit harder for me. I’m already feeling intimidated by the prompts but hey — that’s the point, right? Get a little creative.

Today’s prompt was to get inspired by a decade or region, and about 10 minutes before I ran out the door I still had no idea what I was going to wear. I had planned to wear a dress that would work for a 70s vibe in my mind, but then I tried it on and what do you know…it no longer fits. UGH. I mean…score! It’s too big! But you know…bad news since it was kind of my option.

I looked at the pair of boots sitting in my closet and thought: I have to be able to create something a little 60s/mod with these, right? (But you know, also work appropriate as well as WARM!) so here is what I came up with:

On short notice, I’m pretty happy with it.
