No inspiration pic today — I fell in love with a hot pink cardigan at the Nordstrom Rack Summer Clearance and it had to be mine. I am the type of person who likes to enjoy the things I buy immediately, wheras Garrett gets something new and likes it to live in his closet for a few weeks before he even wears it. Boys make no sense to me sometimes.
So here is what I came up with:
Cardigan: Halogen @ Nordstrom Rack
Tank: Merona for Target
Jeans: Old Navy “The Flirt” (whatever)
Belt: Target
Silver Cuff: Some Crappy Accessories Store
Shoes: Old Navy (I bought them kind of as a throw away once for $10 to get free shipping, but it has been a love affair ever since)
Garrett was quite the jokester while taking this picture. As a consequence in almost every shot I was right about to roll my eyes. Still uncomfortable posing for pictures in clothes. Hopefully I’ll get over that soon because 27 more days is a long time to be uncomfortable.
In the end I said “Take a detail of my tank top” (I love this tank top!) and he said “How am I supposed to do that without looking like your perv a boyfriend taking a gratuitous tit shot?” I think he ended up doing ok.
I’m OBVIOUSLY comfortable in jeans and a cardigan — we’re 3 for 3 on that. I think it’s time to start shaking it up a little!
What did you wear today? Join the group and play a little show and tell.
I’d totally show you a picture of what I’m wearing, but, um, I’m still in my running clothes from this AM. So. (black 3/4 tights, gray dry fit shirt that says ‘your pace or mine’, because I have never met a pun I didn’t like)
I’ll pretty up at some point 🙂 until then, I’ll just say: love this outfit, you look awesome!
Your pace or mine? You are hilarious. I need more silly shirts in my life. May have to add THAT to my bucket list 😉
My god I have never met a dumb shirt that I didn’t think “MUST OWN NOW” Some favorites include:
“If you like my ass you’ll love my snatch” (that one requires um, a little planning for wearing, as in “don’t wear to the CF classes where people bring their kids” )
“Good Grammar Costs Nothing”
“Smart, Witty, and Literate as Hell” (this one, SADLY, is way too small for me and almost unwearable. BUT I LOVE IT)
“There’s no place like 127.0.0.1” (um. I used to a computer programmer and thus way more geeky than I am now. 127.0.0.1 is an IP address that will loop you back to your own machine, or, you know, “home” — i know, i know, but I love this shirt)
And the Target shirt I bought my husband: “Give a Hoot/Don’t Pollute” with Woody the Owl on it.
I can’t help myself. I love dumb tshirts so, so much.
Love the cardigan! Looks awesome on you too!! 🙂 Pink is my fave! We seem to have the same skin/hair colour so maybe I’ll hop on over & borrow this cute cardi! 😉
ohmyGOD those shoes! love love love them!
also, this is my favorite outfit so far! bright colored cardis are just so lovely 🙂
