Fun Things To Read On A Friday

Let's get this party started! (Rocking my @nomnompaleo apron!)

Happy Friday! Let’s do the happy dance for the weekend!

I survived teaching my Paleo cooking class last night and it was so much fun! Now I have a Next Food Network Star hair up my ass! (NO I DON’T! I tell you what, it’s harder than Giada and her giant boobs make it look!) I have had the longest week ever and tonight I am looking forward to getting in a workout, having a glass of wine, seeing friends, and then SLEEPING THE SLEEP OF THE DEAD! I am literally planning the epic-ness of my bedtime. I’ve already had a pep-talk with Buster and he is on serious orders to not wake up wanting to play before 9am tomorrow. (Ha! We’ll see if that happens!)

On to some links, yes?

*I’m running a 10 Mile race on Sunday and I’m so freaked out about it I can’t think about it, so I’m not. But I am wondering if these pants would make it more pleasant?

*I realized this week I need a little more of this “Magic” in my life.

*Rachel’s post about Lifting Heavy made me do a slow clap.

*On putting your actions where your intentions are: The Power of Goals. Simple, but powerful.

*Discovering Truth in the Silence. I need to tape this up to my bathroom mirror. I am not above that kind of dorky reminder.

*Here is some super awesome basic style advice: 8 Tips for Developing Personal Style

*I could really relate to Andrea’s thoughts on learning how to change behavior. And then, like a lightbulb going off, I thought about this post I read last week on Identity Based Habits.

*I want to make this guacamole STAT. Guacamole just feels like summer to me.

*There is no such thing as a calorie! Shout it from the rooftops, please.

And that’s all I’ve got for the moment. Knock this weekend out of the park, friends!

  1. How cute are you! Love that pic and I would’ve loved to come to your cooking class.

My dog likes to wake up early on the weekends too… we trade off on getting out of bed to let her out. Of course during the week, we have to kick her out of bed! What’s up with that?!

I LOVE guacamole! I seriously want to buy some Lulu clothes, but I can never justify the cost. People get obsessed with those wunder unders though. Maybe one day I’ll splurge.

    Happy Friday <3

Thanks for the shout-out! 🙂 But mostly thanks for that link to identity-based habits. YES! That is exactly the kind of thing I’ve been chewing on lately. So interesting!

PS: If you had a cooking show I would totally watch it. 🙂

  3. Paige says:

I was at your class! Thank you so much for sharing all your paleo experiences. I’ve got the itch, but I am definitely going to ease my way into it! I’ll be following the blog from now on :]

  4. Susannah says:

I know you’re not thinking about it…but Sunday will be incredible!! Thanks for the great post and enjoy your good night’s sleep too.

  5. Allison B says:

    Pink pants make everything better!

I’m not going to lie, I was secretly hoping the “Magic” link was going to be about Magic Mike. But this was good too 😉

    Good luck on your race!

  6. Bree says:

    1) If you had a cooking show, I too would watch it!
    2) Anything Lulu makes EVERYTHING better! I’m the biggest cheapass you’ll meet, and I splurge on Lululemon. I wish I could just live in it, but alas, business casual Lululemon is not!
    3) That guacamole looks delicious! Another variation I want to try is with the juice of half an orange. I saw some table-side guacamole at a restaurant once and I watched all the ingredients she used, and have been dying to try the orange ever since!

  7. Hey 🙂 Thanks for the shout out 🙂 I actually really enjoyed writing that post. Was interesting having to google “What weighs 3 pounds?”
