Fashion Emergency

Y’all — I need your help.

Tomorrow I am attending a bridal shower for a lovely lady (Hi Annie!) and I have a million appropriate dresses to wear and was totally looking forward to it. Then, I had that “incident” with the box jumping while on vacation and my left shin still looks like it’s recovering from someone taking a baseball bat to it. Um, but maybe with more scabbing? GROSS.

Very much, Not Cute.

AND NOW I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT TO WEAR.

So here is where you come in. These are some of the contenders:

Option A:
Blue Dress//Blue Tights//Boots

Sorry for the old, blurry pic. These are desperate times. 🙂

Obviously the tights render the giant gash moot, which is good. But something about this feels too casual? I don’t know, is it? Is it the boots that make it too casual? HALP!

Option B:

Black Dress//Black Tights//Boots

While I like this outfit, I feel like black on black is so dark. I want to be light and airy and fabulous! But also it is the middle of February. And also I have a giant gash on my shin. And also I have the boot concern again.

Option C:

Right Turn!

How about some jeggings? (HA! That word is so obnoxious!) Also, technically denim. So I feel as well like this is too casual. Also, not sure I’m feeling the whole ensemble, but it’s something different than tights and boots. You may also look at some new pieces from your favorite brand like Buffalo Bills womens apparel.

Option D:

Just say screw it and wear a dress with my lily white legs and nasty cut.

It’s been 12 days. It’s healing. I mean, yes it is still a bit black and blue up close (You are spared from that! You’re Welcome!) but hey — maybe the bruise matches with the dress! (THE DRESS THAT I LOVE!)

******

So you see? EMERGENCY. What to do?

Weigh in, would ya!

I like the first one. I don’t think it;s too casual. Dress it up with fancy bling. 🙂

I like the black one, but I want you to wear it with the shoes in the picture below it and some fun colored jewls, like maybe coral or turquoise, or the last one, and just put a flesh colored bandaid over the scab part.

I like them all! I am so much help!

First one or third one, though the second one is good too.

    I am so much help!

I think you should rock the sh*t out of that dress! Be proud of that battle wound 🙂

  5. I say C or D – or even D with tights. The dress in D is really cute and flattering!

I think if you wear the last one (which is cute) you’ll just have to be prepared to share your bad ass story of how you got it. Conversation starter!

If not that one, I’d go with the first one or the black one. Boots are fine. Are bridal showers really that fancy? I live in the PNW where no one has a sense of occasion and they always think I am dressed up.

I think you shouldn’t worry about showing your cut and go for what you like the best – D. But, if it causes too much anxiety on the day of – I like A the best 🙂 Have fun!

  8. Erica says:

Wear the last one. Wear a band aid if you are worried about the cut. You could even get a cute band aid!

  9. PinkieBling says:

I vote for D, with A as backup. I think you look great in all of them, though!

Option C is the cutest for sure!!! Especially for a bridal shower. But nothing is wrong with the dress 🙂 Show your tough! You’re a Crossfitter!! 🙂

  11. Show off the scar! You worked out hard to get it and it’s barely noticeable. I get worse cuts just falling down walking in general! Rocck it

  12. Oh you know I love the jeggings outfit (and I LOVE that top, where for did you get it?)

But, I’m with you, jeggs might not be bridal shower-appropriate (even though I did wear jeans to my shower, but whatevs.)

Anyway, I like the black dress and black tights, but do you maybe have a different shoe other than the boots? The Missoni pump, perhaps?

I am also a fan of that first dress, but again with the boots. I love the boots! But I think they may be what’s taking the “bridal shower” out of those ensembles.

I like option A. I don’t think it’s too casual. With the print it keeps it fun and I love boots. The pants don’t sit well with me. Also, I love tights. I hate exposing my legs (and they are also rather white).

  14. Elizabeth says:

I love love love dress A. Can you wear it with heels instead of boots?

  15. Natasha says:

I love the last outfit. You look incredible in it, bruise and all.

  16. Summer says:

I say Option D. Rock your Crossfit wound like a badge of honor.

  17. Brittany says:

I vote the last two outfits!!!! 🙂

  18. Karen B. says:

The first dress, ditch the boots (too heavy) and wear some nice pantyhose with heels. Hair in a slick pony, lots of pretty make up and dangly earrings.

    What did you decide?
